Ipswich Borough Council

Ipswich Borough Council

Ipswich is the county town of Suffolk, located on the estuary of the River Orwell, about 60 miles (97 km) north east of London. The town has been continuously occupied since the Saxon period and its port has been one of England’s most important for the whole of its history.

Ipswich is a non-metropolitan district with a population of around 133,384, while the Ipswich built-up area is estimated to have a population of approximately 180,000.

Ipswich Borough Council

Ipswich Borough Council provides a range of statutory and discretionary services and has been working closely with staff and partners to ensure we deliver quality services to the people of Ipswich. We have introduced new ways of working - opening up decision-making and devolving powers to new Area Committees.

Our vision for Procurement is to deliver high quality, cost effective and compliant outcomes for the residents of Ipswich.

Tender and quotation opportunities are advertised through the Suffolk Sourcing web page and through our @SuffolkSourcing Twitter feed.
